Island Prvić is one of the inhabited islands near Vodice, with daily boat connections to the mainland (Vodice and Šibenik). The entire island is protected cultural heritage.The most famous Prvić resident of the past – Faust Vrančić (Šibenik 1551.- Venice 1617.) spent his childhood on island.
As a scientist, linguist and inventor, he is a highly regarded European person of his time. Today you can see a modern memorial center Faust Vrančić on the island of Prvić and learn more about the life and work of one of the biggest Croatian inventors.
Šibenik was first time mentioned in the 11th century, in a document of King Kresimir IV. The main symbol of the city is the St. Jacob Cathedral, wich was 2000. listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Town Hall, City Museum, many palaces, many as 24 churches and 6 monasteries in the city, will not leave anyone indifferent.
